Presidents and Bold Diamond Award

Central Penn. Senior Care Agency Earns National Accolades

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Penn. – May 2016 – Home Helpers of Central Pennsylvania has been recognized with two national awards by the national network of in-home care agencies. The local office recently was awarded the President’s Award and the Bold Diamond Award at the Home Helpers National Conference in Nashville.

The President’s Award recognizes a local provider that consistently demonstrates commitment to their community and to the professional caregiving industry. Recipients are applauded for their combination of efficient business operations in a spirit of cooperation with the communities they serve.

In presenting the award, Home Helpers President and CEO Emma Dickison noted several accomplishments of the Central Pennsylvania office in 2015, including becoming certified as a Home Helpers Training Center, achieving a high level of quality assurance and compliance, and sponsors several community education and outreach efforts including the Home Helpers Bike Run.

“We’re very gratified by this national recognition of our efforts and proud of the success we’ve enjoyed and the service we’ve provided to Central Pennsylvania families,” said Lynn Gardini, president of Home Helpers Central Pennsylvania. “This award is shared with our caring professionals who everyday fulfill our mission to be the extended family when the family can’t be there.”

The Bold Diamond Award recognizes the leadership of Home Helpers Central Pennsylvania for contributions to the professionalism and quality assurance in the home-care industry. The local office was singled out for its commitment to best business practices and for identifying growth opportunities both for their business and for their professional staff.

Presidents Award

The named winner of the Home Helpers President’s Award for 2015 was Lynn Gardini of Hollidaysburg, PA. Lynn has created a supportive atmosphere throughout her staff, which is why her office is known for providing the best homecare in the area. She already incorporates many of the ONE attributes that we’re asking all owners to commit to for the coming year. Her many achievements include:

  • Serving as a Home Helpers Certified Training Center
  • Included in the 2015 CEO Masters’ Club
  • Participating in a Growth Group
  • Becoming a 7 Star Quality Assurance recipient
  • Sponsoring a Home Helpers Bike Run

But perhaps more than any of that, Lynn’s assistance with another Home Helpers franchise owner shows amazing compassion and commitment to the brand. Jeff Fix, an owner in Red Lion, PA, died unexpectedly last year. During this very difficult time, Lynn made the 3-hour drive to help Jeff’s wife, Bella, keep her business running. Here’s just some of what Bella wrote about Lynn:   “You were an answer to my prayers that I prayed for those dark nights. Little did I know what a beautiful and awe-inspiring experience awaited me. I knew little about the files, the computer, the audit reports, the payroll . . . I watched you gracefully tackle one issue after the next, all while repeatedly reassuring me that everything would be OK . . . You truly are the most intelligent, selfless, giving and compassionate person I’ve had the honor to work with my entire life . . . I’m blessed to have you as a friend!”    What an amazing story, and for having such a remarkable year, Lynn Gardini earned the President’s Award for 2015. Congratulations, Lynn!

HOME HELPERS ANNOUNCES BRAND IDENTITY AND MARKETING AWARD RECIPIENT LYNN GARDINI

Home Helpers of Central Pennsylvania is pleased announced Lynn Gardini was a recipient of the Brand Identity and Marketing award.

Brand Identity & Marketing Award: Lynn Gardini

Home Helpers provides an extensive marketing toolbox filled with ideas, processes and content that owners can follow to help them market productively in their local community. Lynn Gardini is able to use these tools effectively as she continues to grow her office in Central Pennsylvania

She has implemented training with her staff on all of these tools while also launching a “Mobile Recruiting Concept” to find the best caregivers, who operate by this simple creed: Providing Great Service with Great Caregivers! As with many of our owners who own their local space, Lynn has successfully worked on her website and social media messaging to ensure those two priorities drive the office’s results. Leading by example, she shows her team the importance of making an impact and giving back.

For example, Lynn sponsors events that are both fun yet have a charitable component so everyone feels good. Whether it’s her Home Helpers Bike Run for the Wounded Warrior project or the Home Helpers Poker Night: she’s helped raise thousands of dollars to local charities to help veterans and the senior population in her area. For miles around, Lynn’s community knows about Home Helpers of Hollidaysburg!

By nurturing a culture of compassion and empathy, Lynn has made Home Helpers of Hollidaysburg synonymous with the general concept of “care” in her community. Her referral partners know of the great work she and her team are doing out in the community, making her reputation second to none!

Fortunately for us, Lynn is sharing her concepts and ideas as Chair of the Communications Council. Last year’s winner of the CEO Award, it’s my pleasure to again honor Lynn Gardini as winner of the 2017 Brand Identity & Marketing Award!

“Serving the community is an important part of our mission,” said Lynn Gardini, president of Home Helpers Central Pennsylvania. “We’re proud of all of our caregivers, staff, guests and our client families.
